Muskoka, February 23, 2021 – As Muskoka celebrates their 25th anniversary this June, they cheers to achieving the Great Place to Work® certification. All team members were anonymously surveyed by Great Place to Work® where they looked at topics including credibility, respect, fairness, pride, managerial experiences, and camaraderie. The conclusions from the extensive review resulted in the globally recognized certification.
The majority of their team reside and work in Muskoka including the operations, finance, marketing, sales support, retail sales and human resources teams. Muskoka Brewery also has sales team members strategically situated across the province to ensure as many people as possible can enjoy one of their handcrafted premium beers and spirits.
Kelly Watson, Director of People and Development shares, “it is great for our team to be recognized. We have continued to develop our grassroots culture that is built on the team’s passion and unwavering beliefs in our purpose, authentic values and iconic brand.”
Muskoka Brewery is committed to its team and its corporate culture. A significant milestone for the Brewery was when they became Living Wage Certified in 2016. The leadership team committed to paying their employees a living wage, believing that full-time work should provide families a basic level of economic security. They were the first brewery in Canada to receive this recognition and this certification has made a difference in their recruitment efforts.
“It was a challenging year but the resolve this team has shown in pulling together to find new ways of doing things has been a real career highlight. This certification is a small glimpse into the pride I feel every day working with this team,” says Todd Lewin, President of Muskoka Brewery.
