Thirty Years in the Making: The 30th Anniversary Throwback Pack

Thirty years of brewing come with a lot of stories. Some live on through place and people; others are remembered through flavours that instantly take you back to a specific moment. A long weekend, a first craft beer, or a summer spent at the cottage. A single sip can unlock the sound of screens closing at dusk, the clink of cans on a dock, or the feeling of a day well spent outdoors with good company.

Since opening our doors on Taylor Road in Bracebridge, Muskoka Brewery has always been about more than what’s in the glass. It’s been about connection, friends and neighbours coming together without much of a plan, conversations unfolding and stretching long into the evening. Beers shared around a fire, on a dock, and after long days spent outside. And as the brewery has grown and evolved over the years, that belief has remained at the centre of everything we do.

Along the way, certain beers became tied to those memories. Not just for how they tasted, but for where they showed up and who they were shared with. Some were everyday staples. Others marked a specific time or place. All of them helped shape our path.

To mark our 30th anniversary, we wanted to honour those moments not with something new, but by revisiting the beers that helped shape us. We’re proud to announce the 30th Anniversary Throwback Pack, a limited-time-only release that brings together six iconic Muskoka beers from our past, chosen with help from the people who know them best.

Chosen By You

As part of our anniversary celebrations, we looked back through decades of recipes, labels, and memories. Again and again, certain beers kept coming up. Fan favourites that people never stopped asking for. Staff staples that defined entire eras of brewing at Muskoka. Beers tied to unforgettable weekends, summers, and milestones.

With input from our community and team, we selected six highly requested throwback beers to bring back for a short time. Each one represents a chapter of our story and a reminder of how far we have come, while staying grounded in where we began.

Inside the 30th Anniversary Throwback Pack

The Throwback Pack features six 473 mL cans, each showcasing a distinct style, flavour, and moment in Muskoka Brewery history.

  • Cream Ale —The beer that started it all in 1996. Smooth, approachable, and timeless, it represents the foundation of everything we do.
  • Dark Ale —A long-loved staff favourite with balance and depth, reflecting our early appreciation for malt-driven styles.
  • Summerweiss —Bright, refreshing, and built for easy summer days, this beer captures the spirit of cottage season.
  • Legendary Oddity —Bold and unconventional, this strong beer reflects our willingness to experiment and take chances.
  • Cool as a Cuke —Crisp, clean, and incredibly refreshing, brewed for patios, docks, and hot afternoons.
  • Berry Springer —The most requested fan favourite of them all, vibrant and flavour forward, and back by popular demand.

Together, these beers offer a true taste of our roots and the creative energy that has defined Muskoka Brewery for three decades.

Where to Find It

The 30th Anniversary Throwback Pack is available exclusively at the LCBO and the Muskoka Brewery Taproom. In addition, all Beertown locations across Ontario will be hosting a Throwback Pack tap takeover, pouring these beers on draught as part of the 30th anniversary celebration.

This is a very limited release. Once these beers are gone, they will return to the archives.

A Full Circle Celebration

Much like the return of Venture Fest 30th Anniversary celebration, the Throwback Pack is about coming together to celebrate the people, places, and memories that brought us here. These beers are meant to be shared, revisited, and enjoyed in the same spirit they were first brewed in.

Whether you have been with us since the early days or are just discovering Muskoka Brewery for the first time, this pack is an invitation to slow down, raise a glass, and celebrate thirty years of independence, craftsmanship, and community.

Here is to where we started, where we are today, and the adventures still ahead.

Cheers to 30 years of Muskoka Brewery.
